While getting started on this change I got a bit stuck because I was trying to use Node 14. I ended up getting the project to build with Node 8. Should we add to the README or wiki which version(s) of Node are required to run Wikistats 2? Or maybe this is already documented already but I just missed it.

Hi, I researched a few possible packages for accomplishing this. If anyone has a recommendation for which one to choose, I'd be happy to try the benchmarking.

I saw this was marked with "good first issue," so I put together a patch for the pidfile portion of this.

I saw this was tagged with "good first task" so I put together a partial implementation of this in Gerrit.
