@Techwizzie The translation approach works fine for English-script languages, but it doesn’t handle non-English scripts (contentLang in "ta" and questions are in "en" ). To resolve this issue, we can try on Multilingual vector search

@Yaron_Koren Can i proceed with the translation approach ??

Yes, You are right!!

@Yaron_Koren
Let's assume we use user's language preference as discussed above,
@Yaron_Koren I think we should use the user's interface language instead of the wiki's content language. If someone views the wiki with uselang=fr, they want everything in French including the chatbot and the response using content language would ignore the user's language preference. Can we use (useLang) or go with the ContentLang (MediaWikiServices::getInstance()->getContentLanguage()->getCode())

@Yaron_Koren Sounds good to me, I will work on the same to make it a default behaviour without that setting.

Thanks for letting me know! I’m open to contributing beyond Java too or perhaps Kotlin or testing areas. Happy to take your guidance on where I could help next!
