Running the plugin against all other except heze and labsdb1005 works fine (here neodymium):

But fails on heze:
jmm@einsteinium:~$ /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_nrpe -H 10.192.0.31 -c check_timesynd_ntp_status
NRPE: Unable to read output

However, other NRPE checks on heze work fine:
jmm@einsteinium:~$ /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_nrpe -H 10.192.0.31 -c check_raid_megaraid
OK: optimal, 1 logical, 12 physical
OK
