This revision features the biggest change in a long time and a leap forward on accessibility measurements
**Improvements:**
Color palette (M82):
- **Complete overhaul of color palette, now color contrasts are at minimum [[ https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20/ | WCAG 2.0 level AA ]] compliant! Thanks to the other design folks involved.**
- Now including more base shades to address several interface needs
- Including darker accent colors for certain accent elements interaction modifications
- Adding use cases and WCAG compliance to all colors in palette
General:
- Complete cleanup of text and symbol styles in Sketch file. Removal of outdated elements
- Cleanup of Sketch own color palette to go along with our WikimediaUI color palette
- Usage of new WikimediaUI color palette across widgets and alignment of false colors so far
- Overhaul of **disabled button/widget elements** and putting **on par with OOjs UI MediaWiki theme implementation**
- Introduction of **light grey for buttons and widgets for better distinction with text input fields**
- **Unified pattern of normal/hover/active state across buttons and widgets**: lighten up on hover/darken on active, also including color changes on text color, which hasn't been the case yet
- Inclusion of icon color changes on states, symbol-based
- State descriptions are now on grid everywhere
Widgets:
- Links: Links feature progressive color and link states are now included
- All five different kinds of dropdown widgets have been largely improved, put on grid, unified height with other widgets, clarified margin/padding helping symbols, ensured correct appearance of state modifications.
- Number input field: Complete overhaul and clear indication of element type (input field surrounded by two buttons)
