When trying to work out what is trending, we have to keep track of recent edits within a certain period, but in such a way that we do not store more than we need to. The [[ https://github.com/jdlrobson/wikitrender/blob/master/index.js#L321 | wikitrender ]] service dealt with this by dropping articles from a store if they had been inactive for a configurable amount of time OR they had exceeded a max lifespan. Side note: The wikitrender service also allows you to mark articles as being important enough to keep. This will be dealt with separately.
