=== Open Questions
1. How long after temporary account creation should we notify users accounts will expire?
** Proposal is to let users know upon creation of the temp account as part of the temp account creation message, and each subsequent temp account notice. This task only covers the final popup reminder 10 days before we know the session is about to expire.
2. Likewise when should their account actually expire? @Niharika
** Accounts expire after 1 year. (TBC)
3. What is the time limit we can extend a cookie for?
** It is feasible to extend the expiry by the same period continually if the user consents to do so. For example, if the period is 1y, then the expiry message could include an action for the person to "Extend by 1y" instead of letting it expire or creating an account if they so wish.** Accounts expire after 1 year, The decision to provide this ability (within MVP or long term) is owned by Growth team in consultation with AHaTwe will not include the option to extend. @Niharika to confirm.
4. Does the expiry period refresh if a new edit is made? For example, if a temp account edit is made Jan 1st 2022, if another edit is made on Jun 30th 2022, will it still expire in Jan 1st in 2023, or will it be June 30th 2023?
** No. A new edit doesn't refresh the time period. See answer to q3 above for potential for an explicit consent to extend Accounts expire after 1 year from the first edit made by the temporary account.
