Wikidata's editor would like all Properties to be semiprotected in order to combat vandalism and bad changes to them. We need to change the setting to make this happen.
**Acceptance criteria:**
[ ] Beta Wikidata is set to semiprotect pages in the Property namespace
[ ] Test Wikidata is set to semiprotect pages in the Property namespace
[ ] Wikidata is set to semiprotect pages in the Property namespace
**Note** In case a significant number of automated test is requiring change/fail because of the new beta wikidata protection behaviour, the change is meant to be made to test and "production" Wikidata instances only.
**Original report:**
There is an ongoing discussion at https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Project_chat#Restrict_editing_of_properties_to_autoconfirmed_users? If the Wikidata community decides to protect properties so that they can only be edited by autoconfirmed users, what would the best/most efficient technical solution to implement this be? Some proposed options are:
A) via the AbuseFilter
B) $wgNamespaceProtection
C) Protect properties individually (e.g., by bot)
