The redesigned special notifications page groups notifications by date (T132739 ) So users can manage notifications more easily, a button above each group will enable users to "Mark group as read." Clicking the button marks all the notifications in that day's group as read. Here are a few details about this feature:
- The Mark group as read button has a highlight state.
- If a day-group contains read and unread messages, clicking Mark group as read will affect only the unread messages.
- When the user is filtering results to view only Unread, clicking the Mark group as read button will cause the group to a) get marked as read and b) disappear.
- Each page displays a maximum of 50 messages (T129363 ). When a day-group of messages straddles two pages, clicking the Mark group as read button at the beginning of the group, on the first page, does not affect the notifications on the second page, where the group continues. A separate Mark group as read button will appear there (as per T132739), and will control the second portion of the day-group. The converse of this is true: i.e., clicking the second portion of the group will not affect the first portion.
