Looking at [[ https://tools.wmflabs.org/guc/?user=Scott | my global contributions ]] shows that edits by me have been imported into a number of different wikis. For example, [[ https://wikimania2016.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Done&diff=410&oldid=409 | this one on wikimania2016 ]]. However, as you can see from [[ https://wikimania2016.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Scott | Special:Contributions/Scott ]], these edits are not attached to my global account.
There must now be thousands of similar unattached edits across WMF wikis, which completely works against all the effort put into SUL finalization. The import tool needs to be rewritten so this stops happening (and possibly disabled entirely until it has been), and a cleanup process run to identify and reattach the edits.
