There are a number of transcoding-related tasks, for example: T22252. The usual idea is that for certain file types, we need to ingest them and immediately convert them to avoid issues. I think it would be nice to be able to track tasks related to multimedia transcoding. I'm not sure whether a tracking task or a #Multimedia-Transcode Phabricator Maniphest tag/project makes sense, so I'm filing this task for consideration.
