Rather than separate `$dbw->startAtomic()` / `$dbw->endAtomic()` calls, have something like: ```lang=php wfGetDB( DB_MASTER )->performTransaction( function ( $db ) { $db->update( .... ); $db->delete( .... ); } ); ``` The return value could be used to indicate whether to end the transaction with a COMMIT or a ROLLBACK. This would allow nested transactions (among other benefits).
