In Indonesian Wiktionary, we encountered a problem where an Indonesian language called Gorontalo have a unique way of writing long vowel, which is using a colon (akin to Mohawk language, according to my research). For example, in Gorontalo dictionary, we could find entry such as:
*aa:bita - (the first 'a' is short, the second 'a' is long)
*aa:panga
*aa:limu
*aa:pola
*mo:ngayibuwa
*mo:nga:datiya
etc.
The problem is, if I link them, they will be treated as special interwiki link ([[aa:bita]] would link to aa.wiktionary.org). Changing the colons to HTML : still doesn't solve the linking problem. Is there any way to display (and link) those lemmas without having to modify the dictionary entry to follow the technical limitation of MW?
See example: https://id.wiktionary.org/w/index.php?title=Wiktionary:Indeks_bahasa_Gorontalo/a&oldid=737692
* [[aa:panga]] should show up between 2. [[aa]] and 3. [[aato]]
* interwikis in that page are wrong, those should be valid lemmas.
