Technical Collaboration is working on promoting/ making the wishes in the [[ https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/2016_Community_Wishlist_Survey/Results |Community Wishlist Survey 2016 ]] clear and easy to work on by collecting relevant information. The goal is to effectively promote a selection of projects from the Community Wishlist Survey 2016 well suited for hackathons and developer outreach programs 1) at the Wikimedia Hackathon 2) Google Summer of Code, and Outreachy. In the previous round, @Quiddity worked on this selection: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T130095

== Update from 2016Q4==
Tickets were created for wishes 11-60 for which there weren't any on Phabricator already, following a template for task description containing: Problem, Who would benefit, proposed solution, technical details, time, expertise and skills required, venues suitable for, proposed by, related link, etc, and adding relevant projects tags and subscribers, etc. Promoted the wishes for Google Summer of Code & Outreachy through mailing list, MediaWiki page, and by commenting on the task itself.
- Tasks are being organized in the #community-wishlist-survey-2016 workboard: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/board/2420/
- Status of wishes (10+ onwards) can be tracked directly here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/2016_Community_Wishlist_Survey/Results
