Steps to reproduce: 1) Create a new page and insert a table (nothing else). 2) Use the mouse to select that table. 3) Copy it and paste it on the page. 4) Discover that you can't copy and paste tables. The kludge of selecting some additional page content on both sides of the table and then, after pasting, removing that extra stray content, isn't intuitive and can't be done anyway if there's no other content on the page.
