In T204081 we had a detailed analysis on the color of the visited links in #minervaneue (purple or purplish blue) and how it was hard to distinguish from the plain text=== Description
Currently the primary link color and the :visited link color in Vector are out of sync with Minerva and the [[ https://design.wikimedia.org/style-guide/visual-style_colors.html | Wikimedia style guide ]]. In the endThe purple used for :visited links has user experience drawbacks, an agreement was reached to change it to a more distinctive purple which we internally called "purple-1"which are explained in detail in T204081.
In #Vector I personally have the same problem, i.e. I find its visited link color (#0b0080) too close both to the blue links and to the plain text. I believe the ΔE between visited links and blue links in Vector is 27.These updates are not necessarily dependent on each other, The ΔE between visited links and plain text is actually larger (I believe it is 79) but at least to my eyes they still look less distinguishable than when using the new purple-1however I thought it made sense to collect them under one task.
Lastly, using purple-1 here will make the most used skins on desktop and mobile platforms harmonious in terms of colors.
So I propose changing the visited link color in Vector from #0b0080 to #5a3696=== Proposal
We update the primary link color to #3366cc
We update the :visited link color to #6b4ba1
