This appears to be a regressionWhen JavaScript is disabled in the browser, as the empty state illustrations on these two screens are meant to be staticbeta features that require JavaScript are distinguished using the "This feature requires JavaScript" message in [[ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Betafeatures | Special:Betafeatures ]].
==== Steps to reproduce
Pre-conditions: Delete all reading lists and clear historyWith the current set of beta features, I suspect the only one that works without JavaScript is "Structured Discussion". But I see that features such as "Wikitext syntax highlighting", "Advanced Search interface" aren't marked as requiring JavaScript though they don't seem to work without it. Features such as "New wikitext mode" are correctly flagged as requiring JavaScript.
This inconsistency should be fixed.
Current Beta Features which I think need JS, but don't state it:
# Open the app to the Reading list tab. Note the position of the empty state illustration.[x] New filters for edit review
# Tap to Search.[x] Wikitext syntax highlighting
# Go to History tab and note the position of the empty state illustration on this screen.[x] Advanced Search Interface
# Tap to Search[x] Two column edit conflict
==== ExpectedCurrent ones which I think are fine:
For steps 2 and 4, the empty state illustrations should remain fixed in place
