The fix is included since gerrit 3.1.0, so that I actually surprised you still see it on gerrit 3.3.0. --- I receive this error message every time when trying to pull the mediawiki/core repo. Other repos seem fine. I've seen the issue yesterday for the first time, but it worked after retrying.
