The topic page displays public domain and openly licensed images from connected repositories.
The images are not saved until some kind of user interaction. The following actions have been planned first:
* Favouriting the image --> saving to a collection
* Editing metadata
* Geolocating the image
* Removing the image from the page by disambiguating images retrieved via text search.
Also later:
* Identifying people, places, and date

What is saved of the image with this first click?
# Only the necessary pointers to the original image or
## Image url
## It may be wise to save also the image hash to be able to compare with other images on the web.
# All metadata that the project can map?
When the user enriches data by associating textual data with Wikidata/Wikidocumentaries entities, how is additional data saved?
# Raw and refined values are saved in the same property, one as a qualifier. If the textual comes first, then it must be that as the value, and the linked value as a qualifier.
# Only when the user links a value, values are recorded. This would allow the same structure to be vice-versa, the linked value as the main value, and the original textual value as a qualifier.
# Raw and enriched values are saved in different properties (I cannot imagine why)
Where could this information be used?
* The file can be automatically saved to Wikimedia Commons, if it meets a certain minimum criteria, for example existing title, description, copyright notice, attribution, year or the lack of it.
* At the time of saving, the bot can fetch additional information to complete the data in Wikimedia Commons. The kind of additional information can be measures, exif data, institution if not required, depicted people, depicted place, reproduction photographer etc. If this data has not been recorded in Wikidocumentaries, it will be difficult to know if it should/could have been linked to data entities, to know the actual completeness of the data. The additional unlinked data could be save to Wikidocumentaries at the time of saving the image to Wikimedia Commons for possible comparisons.
* Should this information then be compared with how the data evolves in Wikimedia Commons and/or how it evolves in the original source?
