An already known bug (although I don't know the number) is relevant to the fact that a deleted page or move without redirect, cannot be marked as patrolled. Should be evaluated if make sense to be automatically marked as patrolled. Now this page https://it.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Utente:Codas/Sandbox is marked with the "red !", but inside the page is missing the link to mark it as patrolled. I don't know if the two issues are linked.
