This is the parent task for requests to increase quotas (CPU, RAM, Instance Count, Floating IPs, Storage) for your labs project. If you do not currently have a project and want to request one go to T76375.
== Before you request an increase ==
1. Please confirm you have exhausted your current quota. You can find this in your project page on [[ https://horizon.wikimedia.org/auth/login/?next=/ | Horizon ]] after logging in.
2. If you are requesting a [[ https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Terminology | floating ip ]] (external public IP address) increase ensure that you actually need it. If you just want to expose an HTTP / HTTPS webservice to the external world usually the [Proxy](https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Proxy) service can be used.
3. Check your running instances to see if there are any that should be delete, reused or recreated to be smaller. We will review capacity used to understand quota increase needs.
4. If a custom instance flavor (ram:cpu:disk ratio) would allow you to use resources more efficiently, include this in your request. This does not mean we will be able to create new flavors for everyone.
== Requesting an increase ==
Create a subtask of this task with the following information:
```
Name of project: <projectname>
Type of quota increase requested: (cpu/ram/instance count/floating ip)
Reason: Why is this quota increase required?
```
Remember to remove the #Tracking project from your newly created subtask.
== Process ==
Requests are processed by the Labs team during the Labs team meeting every Monday (8:30 AM PST) that the meeting is held. This schedule may be effected by holidays, conferences, or other unavailability. Requests can be granted when approved by a quorum of at least two labs team members.
