As part of the work on MinT for Wikipedia Readers MVP (T359072) we want to allow communities to access more content that is only available in other languages with the use of machine translation.
After an initial enablement (T363464) we are considering exposing the tool to a broader set of wikis. These include Wikipedias of different characteristics:
- Communities with MT for the first time with good levels of activity
- Medium-size wikis with potential to use MT to expand sections.
- Communities where data shows MinT may be providing good quality translations.
The list of selected wikis is listed below:
1. Persian (fa)
- Korean (ko)
- Hindi (hi)
- Bangla (bn)
- Icelandic (is)
- Asturian (ast)
- South Azerbaijani (azb)
- Bhojpuri (bh)
- Central Bikol (bcl)
- Minangkabau (min)
- Lombard (lmo)
- Venetian (vec)
- Crimean Tatar (crh)
- Banjar (bjn)
- Santali (sat)
- Achinese (ace)
- Fula (ff)
- Kashmiri (ks)
- Tswana (tn)

We'll incorporate feedback from these Wikipedia communities to identify blockers and opportunities for improvement.
