Wikipedia has apps for Android and iOS devices, and some users use those apps as their main way to access Wikipedia. Currently, [[ https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Content_translation/Section_translation | Section Translation ]] is only available on mobile web. Thus, app users don't have an easy way to translate when they notice that an article is missing in their language, etc.
This ticket is intended to explore which would be the best way to provide access to Section Translation from the mobile apps (e.g., include translation as one of the contribution opportunities in Android's [[ https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Apps/Suggested_edits | suggested edits ]]).
Currently Section Translation is still in early stages and it is not available yet for all Wikipedias. So we may want to consider app exposure only after reaching such milestone. But feel free to share any thoughts meanwhile.
