Goal: Review the Design team's [[ https://design.wikimedia.org/ | Statement of Purpose ]] (also [[ https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Design/Statement_of_purpose | here ]]) and [[ https://design.wikimedia.org/style-guide/design-principles.html | Wikimedia Design Principles ]] and propose updates and changes that may be needed to reflect changes in our team mandate and state of Wikimedia design since 2016. Team: Working group of designers (@KColeman-WMF, @DTorsani-WMF, @Sarai-WMF) who were not involved with the original work review in consultation with one of the original authoring designers (@Pginer-WMF) Timeline: * Outcome of review and consultations shared for input from team by mid-Q3, * Revised SOP and guidelines proposed by end of Q3. * Published 2024 updates to design.wikimedia.org an Mediawiki.org pages by Apr 2025.
