**Type of activity:** Pre-scheduled session
**Main topic:** A plan for the Community Wishlist 2016 top results
**Timing:** We'd like to do this on Tuesday afternoon, if possible
== The problem ==
From November 7th to December 12th, WMF's Community Tech team will host our second annual Community Wishlist Survey, inviting active contributors from all Wikimedia wikis to propose, discuss and vote for the projects that you would like to see Community Tech take on next year. Once the survey's over, we'll end up with a prioritized backlog of community-generated ideas.
The Community Tech team is responsible for addressing the top 10 wishes on that list. We're expecting that some of those top wishes will be ambitious and technically challenging, and could use input from many people at the Dev Summit. We'll select the two or three wishes that would benefit from a deep discussion with Dev Summit participants, with the goal of putting together a technical plan for each one.
The specific wishes that we plan to work on at the Dev Summit will be selected after we've posted the final survey results, on December 15th. Special priority will be on wishes that appear on both the WMF Community Tech wishlist and the WMDE Technical Wishes wishlist.
== Expected outcome ==
A rough technical plan for one of the most challenging projects in the Wishlist Survey top 10.
