As of September 2015 cxserver is only used by Wikimedia servers running Wikipedia sites. It is conceivable to allow other users to access it, with reasonable limitations. This is a tracker for issues that must be resolved before it becomes possible.

Various technical blockers for this were already resolved, but we probably still need to a few things: [ ] Define potential users. There definitely are some: translatewiki, maybe Wikispore, and maybe more sites. [ ] Understand the legal and business requirements. [ ] //Anything more?..//
