The scripts.md doc page is quite outdated (see [version as of writing](https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki/blob/724e1782dbcdocs/scripts.md)). This could be consolidated with input from the doc comments of the individual `.php` files that it mentions, as well as with updates from <https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Code>. This kind of more detailed docs are better suided on doc.wikimedia.org where they can be maintained with the software, and easily read in the future about specific MediaWiki releases.
