Forgive me if this has been "done"- or if there are other things that allow this already and I just don't know about them- but what about an extension for logged-in users to encourage editing that replaces the front page (or even is just a link on the side) with a dashboard with various editing focused features like:
*Recently viewed articles (like mobile has- the problem is that extensive editing on mobile is difficult. There are often pages I read on mobile so syncing with mobile history would be AWESOME but I think that would be pretty hard to do within the confines of opw/gsoc)
*Articles you've recently edited (for picking back up where you might have left off)
*A Task Queue- for making deliberate commitments to work on particular articles, and prioritising them.
*Ability to add friends with a list of their recent contributions to encourage social editing
Again, something like this might exist, and if does, tell me, cause I want it! I know this is not a new idea because I've heard it from other people before :).
Another idea might be an admin-focused dashboard, but I'm not an admin so I don't have specific ideas about what should go in it.
