Presently, when users create their account there isn't a notice that users should expect a verification email in their inbox that their email address is correct. We intend to engage users via email, with this in mind, it is important that we know we have their correct email address, and that they expect to receive emails from us. In order to accomplish this we will ensure users know to expect a verification email, so that we can ensure we have the correct email and they know to expect emails from the Foundation.
If a user is creating an account they will then see text on Special:CreateAccount that explains a verification email is coming to their inbox.
