In the Venetian edition of Wikipedia we are witnessing an error of the flood flag, currently assigned to a single user. In practice the changes made by the user in question continue to be visible on the page of the latest changes, although it should not happen, since they should be hidden to all effects as normally happens for bots. Within Wikimedia wikis, a flooder is someone in a hackish bot-type group that has the ability to allow mass changes to be marked as a bot to avoid flooding Special:RecentChanges.
Administrators may temporarily give themselves a "flood flag" when doing repetitive, non-controversial edits or actions to avoid flooding Special:RecentChanges and related pages.
A flood permission is a permission setup on this wiki (and others) with the code

If the user with the new "flood" user right makes edits they will be tagged as bot edits.
If with my new "flood" user right I make lots of edits to the desktop site, they will not show when I request to "[[ https://reading-web-staging.wmflabs.org/w/index.php?title=Special:RecentChanges&hidebots=0 | hide bot edits ]]" on RecentChanges but will show when I ask to show bot edits.
However, if I switch to mobile mode and make the edits there, these are not filtered out.
