With T191031 the icons in the WikiEditor have been updated and now all help pages and user templates need to be updated to reflect the changes. However, although [[ https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/OOjs_UI_icons | many if not all icons ]] are available on Commons, it is tedious work for the volunteers across languages to find the correct icons. Especially in light of the fact that we are struggling to win and retain new editors, we should all work to ensure that we make it as easy as possible to keep our help pages current and avoid putting unnecessary work on the shoulders of volunteers active in these efforts.
I would therefore like to ask you to provide a Commons category for each of the editors where the icons are updated (overwritten) each time an update occurs in the user interface. This way, all help pages can link to e.g. //WikiEditor_signature_icon.svg// and will automatically reflect the current state of the UI.
This task is related to T179154 and can likely be semi-automated.
