In the past, Wikimedia hosted regular opportunities for contributors to share information about a variety of technical topics. This has traditionally taken the form of monthly technical talks.
In 2019, the Wikimedia Developer Advocacy team will take a leadership role in reviving tech talks and creating other opportunities/forums for technical contributors to share their knowledge with each other.
Initially talks will be either pre-recorded or hosted live (with opportunities for individuals to ask questions) and posted to Wikimedia Commons and the Wikimedia Youtube account.
While monthly talks are ideal, there will be no set cadence. Those interested in hosting a tech talk or proposing a tech talk in 2019, should submit file it as a subtask to this ticket.
