**Background:**
As part of the annual plan for editing with Visual Editor on mobile, the Malayalan, Bengali, Hindi and Marati wikis were identified as some of the[[ https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Mobile_editing_using_the_visual_editor_report#Target_wikis | target wikis. ]]
Recently, @dchan shared with me that he learned that most people text using Latin letters to write their language. This is relevant to our user stories, because our Indian-language wikis use native script not Latin, so basically every contributor must be tech savvy enough to have taught themselves text input in the native script, which is not the norm,
**Goals of Study:**
1. Confirm if Indian scripts are or are not used in text input in the native script.
