NOTE: This workshop is part of the [[ https://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/2019:Small_wiki_toolkits | Small Wiki Toolkits ]] focus area at #wikimania-hackathon-2019 The tentative plan for a total of ~ 1-1.5 hour workshop is as follows: ~10-15 minutes overview of the MediaWiki Action API in the beginning (slides 1-13) ~10-15 minutes for Activity 1 (slide 14) related to the MediaWiki Action API ~10-15 minutes overview of the Wikidata API (slides 15-27) ~10-15 minutes for Activity 2 (slide 28) ~5-10 minutes for last few closing slides and Wikimedia Commons API topic ~5-10 minutes buffer time Would be great to organize a workshop (or a set of workshops) to introduce interested people to * the general MediaWiki APIs * and specific API features to use data from Wikidata, Wikibase, Structured Data on Commons
