This is a continuation of T114830. We decided in that task that we would configure en.wikipedia.org/api/rest_v1/ to serve the pageviews endpoints the same way that wikimedia.org/api/rest_v1/ currently does. (Note on priority from Analytics point of view: this becomes useful when someone wants to deploy an extension or gadget that uses the pageview API)
