As an organizer, I want to be able to generate a list of editors who may be interested in joining my event, so that I can then invite them and have more people attend my events.
As an editor, I want to learn about editing events that focus on my topics of interest, so that I can use my skills and knowledge for a worthwhile cause or initiative and so that I can connect with people and communities that share my interests.
**Background:** As part of our [[ https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Campaigns/Foundation_Product_Team/Event_Discovery | Event Discovery ]] work, we are working on an Event Invitations project. With Event Invitations, we want to help event organizers reach out to new audiences of editors who may be interested in their events. This way, we hypothesize that more people can register for events and make impactful contributions. To do this, we plan to generate an Invitation List, which is a list of editors who the organizer can invite. Now that we have wrapped up the Event Invitations experiment, we want to create a simple MVP that allows organizers to generate Invitation Lists for themselves, without needing the help of the Campaigns product team.
**Project Goal:** Develop an MVP for Event Invitations, so that users with the Event Organizer right on wikis where the CampaignEvents extension is enabled can generate Invitation Lists. This way, we can get an early version out to users so they can begin testing it and providing feedback on how to improve it. We should focus on delivering something usable and useful, but perfection is not the goal.
