This should probably be a sub-page of https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:VisualEditor/User_guide, something like https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:VisualEditor/User_guide/Links. That page have to be written in English, using a simple English to be translated.

It is possible to create several type of links on the wikis. The most common ones are links between articles or a link to another website (external link). But it is also possible to:
* create links between the wikis. You can create:
** [[ https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Links#Interlanguage_links | interlanguage links ]], a link from Italian Wikipedia to Haitian Wikipedia
** [[ https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Links#Interwikis_links | interproject links ]] (or interwikis links), a link from French WIktionary to German Wikisource
* create links [[ https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Categories#Linking_to_a_category | to categories ]]
* create links [[ https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Images#Link_to_an_image | to files ]]
There is two ways to edit the wikis (for most of them):
* the source editor using [[https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Formatting|wikitext markup]]
* the [[https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:VisualEditor/User_guide|VisualEditor]].
