Change Details

As outlined by many user in the parent task, the current situation isn't working out at all. This should be reverted until there was a proper discussion what we actually want to do with the database upgrades provided and until the UI is actually capable of dealing with this change without disrupting logs, historys and diffs. We want to set the limit to 500 characters for all Wikimedia wikis on the 2010 wikitext editor, VisualEditor, 2017 wikitext editor, and mobile editor. This should not change the database in any way.
