After digging in Ganeti a bit, and discussing it with @Volans and @ayounsi, it's clear more conversation needs to happen around the idea of synchronizing these devices. There is a strong opinion that the value of tnis sync is pretty questionable from a network perspective, and that this may be the wrong direction to go. Also @Volans asked me to make this ticket to further group decision making. :)
