**Steps to replicate the issue** (include links if applicable):
* Open the Wikipedia app for iPhone. (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/wikipedia/id324715238)
* Open any Wikipedia page with references or footnotes.
**What happens?**:
Every single reference displays "[0]", instead of the actual number or letter.
**What should have happened instead?**:
The actual number should be displayed.
**Software version** (on `Special:Version` page; skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):
**OS versions:** iOS Version 18.3.2
**Device model:** iPhone 16 Pro Max
**Other information** (browser name/version, screenshots, etc.):
No browser, but a mobile app.
Hmm, when searching for "John Smith" to get an image of the bug it shows the correct number in the reference, but this doesn't happen when I click on a random article or the featured article. Hmmm ..
