@Reedy, I noticed back in March you said a change to the API should make this possible now. Do you know if this is something that can or will be done? If not feel free to close it.

Yeah, it can/will be done. I've just not had a lot of time for it, nor access to a computer with Visual Studio etc on it

It needs a bit of a workflow making up... Probably a similar sort of window to the Special Pages (though, maybe these could just go under that anyway? Or do they need a sub window too?). "Query Pages" isn't so obvious to probably 99% of end users

@Reedy, thanks for the update. I certainly understand being busy. I'm just glad this is still being considered. There are a lot of good pages we cannot use at the moment.

To answer your other questions I think a couple may need a sub window but we could do many of them without it. I'm not even 100% sure we need every report, I know the ones I would find most useful and I think most others would too are listed above, but I see some others that would be useful as well in the list you provide. I don't think we need to worry about Query pages unless someone else disagrees. I agree that one could be difficult to implement and would probably be confusing.

Following up T117318, it'd be worth someone working out which ones we have, that need updating/reworking (ie disambiguationpages), and which ones would be entirely new providers

A coupe things I notice already. There are several on the AWB list of special pages not on the above list and vice versa. Is there somewhere that gives the entire list of pages available?

Also, another thing that caught my eye was that there is an option under Source: for Pages with a page property and then that shows up again under Special pages as an option. Is there a difference between these or is it just duplicated?

querypage is a specific type, based on stuff named in MW itself.

We can only really do what is exposed via the API etc. Some come from specific extensions too

Any exposed in both the normal list and the special list are the same code. They're just on both for increased visibility. There should be some on the special only list that most people wouldn't use... Pages with Prop maybe shouldn't be on the normal list

Right I understand, but is there a list of those and should we be listing them in 2 different locations as sources? For example take a look at the Sources option and you'll see an option or User contribs. Then under Special pages we have that again.

@Reedy, sorry Reedy I think my excitement of seeing this change go forward got the best of me there for a moment. I am going to pass on this and let someone else handle it. I'm not even allowed to edit ENWP and as I started researching this I found that some of these pages aren't used substantially by any other wiki so I can't do the tests necessary to complete this.

I'm very interested in making a list from [[Special:WantedCategories]] right now... Any chance of this being worked on? @Reguyla -- Can you forward me any research / work you have done on this so we can make it happen sooner than later? Thanks.

@Technical13 I don't have it anymore. I deleted it all in my anger of being blocked from EnWP. I don't think it would be that hard to recreate though. It will still require one of the devs being willing to work on it too so if one of them shows interest in it then I would be more than happy to rework it. Given the huge number of requests I have submitted and the lack of interest in doing them though I think it would be better if I did not. You will probably have better luck. Cheers!
