The JavaScript talk viewer/editor does. The default text editor doesn't.

Jdforrester-WMF renamed this task from mobile phone skin should have "signature" to Provide a "signature" button in the mobile wikitext editor.Jul 12 2016, 3:25 PM
Jdforrester-WMF edited projects, added Design; removed good first task.

Because no one uses the priority field for anything (except when it's set to "Unbreak Now!"). Just pretend it's not there, like the rest of us.

Also, I don't think people actually use the mobile wikitext editor to add comments on talk pages. There's a custom interface for talk pages on mobile that automatically adds a signature, and in the future there will be the reply tool. So, if anyone paid any attention to the priority field, which they don't, "lowest" would be appropriate in my opinion.

That's not true, because:

  • You don't get the discussion tools thingy on non-talk page, and you still need to sign on various project chat pages (central discussion, deletion noms, Wikiprojects, etc)
  • You also might want to reply up-thread (e.g. as a reply to a higher comment) and the discussion thing doesn't support that (actually, it doesn't support any kind of editing of previous comments, you have to drop to the desktop mode (or figure out that you can change /0 in the URL) to make a correction.

You're right, but I think those are relatively uncommon things to do, and would be solved by enabling mobile reply tool (which we're actually working on at T270536, unlike this task).
