Compile a list of articles to test Quick survey insertion in
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

In order to test QuickSurveys insertion in desktop we should find a list of articles to test against with varied settings.

Combinations should include:

  • w/o infobox
  • w/o lead paragraph
  • w/o sections

Let's use pages that fit into these models:

  • page with infobox page
  • page without lead section
  • page without thumbnail but lead section test
  • a page without sections

I decided to package these up in browser tests since we can easily change them, add to them and write tests around them. I think I've covered most of the examples.

I even found a bug in the process. Win.

I like this approach.

If someone raises a bug with an example article, then we can add it (or the appropriate markup) as a fixture along with the fix.

@Jdlrobson can you list the articles you used for compiling the wikitext samples?

I would love to know that list for stakeholders and public communication.

They are generated by the browser tests and local. Once we have the extension on beta labs and browser tests running we will have pages to point to but not until then..
