I don’t think this is a WBQC bug – apparently, the TimeInput just initializes its preview with whatever HTML is inside the value element. I can manually (in dev tools) add random stuff after the button and that ends up in the preview as well.
I think this problem is similar to T169866: Wikibase editing UI breaks constraint violation indicators, and a proper solution to this will also require T95403: [Task] Investigation: Find a good place where to put icons for violation indication.
