Consider collecting (basic) user agent strings or similar information about the user's browser and OS
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

For some questions about software products and user experience, it would be useful to know the survey respondents' web browsers and OS. This would allow a product manager to determine, e.g., whether users on Windows 10 generally have a worse experience than users on macOS.

We should consider whether this involves significant risks to user privacy before doing this.

Removing MediaWiki-Page-editing so that this doesn't clutter searches related to actually editing pages in MediaWiki. This project should only be on the parent task, probably (T89970). [batch edit]

This is already happening at the EventLogging capsule level, we capture a sanitized view of browser and OS family and version.

We should consider whether this involves significant risks to user privacy before doing this.

Definitely! Even with sanitized data, we shouldn't report any numbers for groups with size < 10, for example.
