Also does not recognize http://windowsteamblog.com pages as dead though archive versions are available. See list and links at

Those links are not inside references. IABot won't scan them based on the current dewiki configuration.
As for the second case the bot won't be able to effectively detect if the link is dead or not. As far as it sees, the URL is redirecting to an entirely different domain.
