Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

What is the problem?

We would like to spread awareness of 2020 Community Wishlist Survey on social media. Right now, we have not done any work around this yet.

How can we help you?

  • We would like to know the recommended social media platforms & accounts for reaching out to people about the 2020 Community Wishlist Survey (for example, Wikisource Twitter account?).
  • We would like support in posting to social media, if possible. We have written a basic message, which can be posted, or we can develop a new message that is more appropriate for certain platforms.

What does success look like?

  • There are social media posts related to the 2020 Community Wishlist Survey
  • The social media posts support the growth of 2020 proposals

What is your deadline?

As soon as possible.

@ifried Did you hear back from them? Are things done in this area? Thanks.

@Elitre I talked to Ed, who told me that they probably cannot help me (due to internal things happening on their end), but I should email them, just in case. I emailed them last week, but there has been no response yet. I'm assuming that they probably cannot offer any support. In that case, I would love to see if CommRel can help provide some social media support, if possible. Thank you!

Ciao @ifried , the thing is, we don't manage those accounts/have no access or presence.
I sent https://twitter.com/Elitre/status/1187728887490449410 from my personal account and you and your team are free to retweet if you want (I have no Facebook).
I can check though if @CKoerner_WMF still has the MediaWiki Twitter keys - Chris, is there any relevant account that we can use to this end? TYVM!

Hey folks, we'll be going over this in our weekly stand-up meeting today. :-)

@ifried FWIW I posted a reminder today on the Wikimedia Telegram channel.

Elitre claimed this task.

In any case, last day was today.
