Event Timeline
Wolter and I discussed the exhibition on the phone this week:
First: taking the current situation in Ukraine and for the Ukrainian volunteers into account, time is getting too short to organise an exhibition in Prague in September. There are however several other (international) possibilities later this year (in November or December maybe), where an exhibition on Ukrainian heritage would be an asset for the gatherings organised by Europa Nostra. Many Europa Nostra colleagues are on vacation right now (probably why we did not get a reply yet), but will return in the second half of August so we can expect follow-ups maybe at the end of August, or next month.
Europa Nostra does not have funds available for an exhibition: an alternative would be for (the international team to support in) the national organisers requesting a rapid grant with the Foundation, for any occurring costs like travel and board for the Wikimedia volunteers that can share the story of their heritage and 10 years of WLM. Europa Nostra will most presumably be able to offer exhibition space, and other tangible needs that arise.
Wolter will keep us posted on the possibilities, we'll keep in touch.
Annemarie will take over the coordination around the exhibition, with support of Claudia (WMAT).
