This is the first task for T316399, Develop features for Wiki Loves Monuments App, aimed at getting you familiar with Wikimedia Commons and properties of media files submitted to Wiki Loves Monuments.
- You should register a Wikimedia account if you don't already have one. You can do so at https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Special:CreateAccount
- Pick one user from Top contributors of Wiki Loves Monuments 2020 in Brazil or Top contributors of Wiki Loves Monuments 2021 in Brazil.
- Have a look at the informations registered on the file pages. Start thinking about what you could organize as very simple statements about the image ('this image depicts monument X', 'was photographed using an Xiaomi', etc)
- Start a page like https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:EPorto_(WMB)/Outreachy_1 (change 'EPorto_(WMB)' to your username). Follow the rough format there to document informations you can gather from 10 files submitted by the user you picked. Try to diversify the set of files you analyze. e.g.:
* [[:File:Arquivo Público Municipal de São Félix Bahia 2019-9933.jpg|Arquivo Público Municipal de São Félix Bahia 2019-9933.jpg]] has the following information: ** Geographic coordinates: 12° 36' 24,11" S, 38° 58' 10,88" O
- Add all the information you can gather, but try to avoid adding all the information of the metadata section. Think of information that can be measured and presented in a chart. e.g.:
* 'Type of camera': 'Canon EOS 6D Mark II'
You should establish at least 6 informations to gather from the files (not all the files need to have all the informations).
Once you are happy, send me a link to your page (by email, on my talk page, or replying to this ticket as you prefer). Make sure to also register it as a contribution on the Outreachy website (https://www.outreachy.org/outreachy-december-2022-internship-round/communities/wikimedia/#develop-features-for-wiki-loves-monuments-app/contributions)! I'll send you a reply to say whether it is accepted or not on the talk page for the contribution.
