Description

Task T351645 has a request that we upgrade prometheus100[56] from 6*1.92 RI SSDs to 6*1.92TB RI SSD + 2*1.92MU SSDs.

The Read Intensive are no longer available for this device/chassis so we have to go with the mixed use if we purchase new.

The preferred alternative is we source the drives and caddies from decommissioned hardware, since we shred those SSDs and do not recoup any value from them when decommissioned.

Please check your on-site spares and pull a total of (4) 1.92TB SSDs w/ carriers to install into prometheus100[56].

If you have these items, please update this task so I can resolve/decline the purchase parent task.

This task can also be used to coordinate the installation into the hosts.

@RobH i have plenty of 1.92tb ssd i have pulled 10x ssd and will put a few away as spares if needed later

Awesome, post-offsite please coordinate with @fgiunchedi on when to install these. As the systems are hot swap, it shouldn't cause an issue, but I'd clear a window just in case.
