Authenticating wikimedia.org domain with MailChimp
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The WMF Comms department operates a MailChimp mailing list for the Global Advocacy team. This is the most recent newsletter.

Due to changing Gmail and Yahoo email requirements, we'd like to authenticate the wikimedia.org domain with MailChimp. The process for that is outlined in MailChimp's documentation, but I don't have any personal knowledge as to how to accomplish it. Thanks for any help you can provide!

Event Timeline

Discussed a bit with @EdErhart-WMF on what the goal is here on Slack and will update this task later when there is more clarity.

Update is that we will need to add a DKIM record for MailChimp so a patch will follow. Rest everything seems to be in order.

Change #1022075 had a related patch set uploaded (by Ssingh; author: Ssingh):

[operations/dns@master] wikimedia.org: add DKIM records for Mailchimp

Change #1022075 merged by Ssingh:

The domain has been authenticated on MailChimp's side. Thanks, @ssingh!
